Since its grand opening in 1991, it has brought challenging fun to visitors. The ocean course at Sea Pines Resort has been available for play for many years. George Cobb originally designed the course in 1962. It was renovated by Mark McCumber in the late nineties. This is one of the older courses on the island. The Fazio Course offers a unique mix of par fours. Only two par fives exist on the course. Port Royal Golf Club contains both the Planter’s Row and Robber’s Row courses. Planter’s Row was designed by William Byrd. It hosted the 1985 PGA Seniors Tour’s Hilton Head Seniors International. Robber’s row was redesigned by Pete Dye. They are both challenging courses with amazing views. These are just a few of the golfing designs visitors can experience on their golf packed vacation.
