Island Parks | Hilton Head Island
Jarvis Creek Park: Located off William Hilton Parkway and the Cross island Expressway. There is a playground, catch and release fishing area, picnic areas and walking trails.
Fish Haul Creek: Located at the end of Beach City Road off 278 Business. This park is one of the Island’s newest-beach access areas equipped with restrooms, a picnic area, and walking trails.
Shelter Cove Community Park: Located behind Shelter Cove Plaza. There is a picnic area, community events and festivals are held here on a regular basis, at the park you will find excellent view points of the Broad Creek.
Greens Shell Community Park: Located on Squire Pope Road. There is a playground, picnic area, basketball court, and rest room facility.
Sea Pines Forest Preserve: Located in the Sea Pines Plantation. There are 600 acres of pristine woodlands, three lakes and numerous walking and hiking trails. Gate Pass is required if you are not a Sea Pines Property guest and can be purchased for $5 at the main gate or ocean gate.
Honey Horn Plantation: Located off the Cross Island Expressway and William Hilton Parkway and is managed by the Coastal Discovery Museum. There are 68 acres of open space with some historic buildings, many festivals are held on these grounds each year.
Coligny Beach Park: Located at the Coligny Circle in the Forest Beach Area. Here you will find the public beach access, rest room facility, a fountain for the kids to play in and beach parking. This beach access area is the closest to the “downtown area” which is also referred to as the Coligny Plaza area and offers the largest public parking area.
Burkes Beach: Limited number of parking spaces, the facilities are at Chapin Park which offers a dog park, soccer fields, baseball fields and public tennis courts.
Folly Field Beach: Located off Folly Field Road at the end of Starfish Drive.
There are restrooms, showers, parking and a boardwalk to the beach.
Driessen Beach Park: Located at the end of Bradley Beach Road which is located of 278 Business. There is a boardwalk to the beach, restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic area, and a playground.
Islander’s Beach Park: Located near the end of Folly Field Road. There are restrooms, showers, boardwalk to the beach and a playground. Parking is restricted to Town of Hilton Head beach pass holders.
Mitchellville Beach Park: Located near the end of Beach City Road which is off 278 Business. This is a great park to take your dog to run on the beach and play in the water. The beach slopes gently and at low tide there is a tremendous amount of room to run and play. The beach is on the Port Royal Sound and sparsely visited.
The Crossings Park and Bristol Sports Arena: Located on Helmsman Way off Palmetto Bay and Arrow Road. This Park offers a recently renovated Skate park, roller hockey rink, basketball court, three baseball fields, a soccer field, playground, open meadows, rest rooms and a concession stand in season.
Sports & Dog Park
Chaplin Park: Located between Singleton and Burkes Beach Road off 278 Business. There are three multipurpose fields, two basketball courts, four lighted tennis courts, a large dog park, walking trails, playground, outdoor showers, restroom facilities and beach access.
