Picking up the packet was quick and easy. The staff were polite and helpful. The home was amazing: from location, to room arrangement to decor. Tastefully done-not tacky.
Thank you for the review, we appreciate your business and hope to see you again in the near future!

We really enjoyed our stay at 1 Grey Widgeon Rd! When we got there, we were greeted by the wonderful a/C which is extra important on 90+ degree/90% humidity days down in Hilton Head. There were plenty of places to sit inside and outside (by the pool!), a well lit kitchen with up to date appliances, three nice bedrooms (sleeps 7 comfortably), and two full bathrooms. We loved that the rooms had cable TV with Dvrs for the rainy days we had, Dvds, and Wi-Fi. And the pool was great, just the right size for the family. Unlike some other homes we saw, there is a fence around the pool giving it privacy from people walking by to go to the beach. And the beach was a two minute walk from the house, and it is a great part of the beach. Not crowded like by the hotels or condos and very wide even at high tide. The house is also a 15 minute bike ride to Harbor Town or The Salty Dog (which also meant it was a bit of a drive to any stores/restaurants/golf/tennis). Negatives: - Only one or two of the several bikes rusting under the carport work. If you want to bike, plan on renting. - There are limited beach accessories (two folding chairs and a shovel). You'll need to rent/buy what you need. There are no beach towels for your use either. - There are a lack of useful items that should be provided: beach towels, soap and trash bags mainly. - I'm knocking check-in because Palmetto Sands refused to hold our second car pass for Sea Pines for our family's second group coming separately even though their office was open. We had to arrange a meeting at the gate to hand off the pass which was very inconvenient. Also, I advise you use the car port to avoid falling branches during T-storms. But overall, we'd definitely stay there again.
I am glad the guests had a wonderful time on the island and at the home! I do believe the guest is confused about the property and I just want to make sure that other perspective guests are aware there is not a fence on the property and there has never been a fence on the property nor is there a path for others to walk past the pool. We no longer provide bikes with the home as guests will ride the bikes in the water which will cause damage and unfortunately do not rinse the bikes off. Sorry but if the guest wanted to use bikes I wish they would have called as we would have provided additional bikes for the guests. Regarding the car pass for the after hours guests we leave them here in our after hours box if they will be arriving after 5pm; it is Sea Pines Security that will not allow the passes to be held at the gate. We always leave passes for guests along with keys in our after hours box for clients, we would never refuse to hold a pass for the clients. Thank you and we look forward to seeing the guests in the future!

My family and I (2 kids age 6 and 3) stayed at 1 Grey Widgeon for the week of Memorial Day. We had a great time staying at the house. It's very close to the beach which allowed us to run back to the house if we needed anything. The pool in the backyard was great and gets really good sun from around 12pm to 4pm...perfect time of the day for swimming. The house had plenty of space and we really enjoyed the ability to spread out and relax while the kids watched TV.
