Biking on Hilton Head Island also includes the opportunity to bike on dirt trails and along sandy paths. Bikes are allowed on the beach and many find that the best time to ride along the beach is during low tide. Hilton Head island also offers bicyclists the chance to bike and take in the natural beauty of the Low Country. One of the favorite places for locals to ride is within the Pinckney Island Nature Preserve. Here guests can take one of three different bike routes. Along the way they will be able to observe a variety of vegetation and wildlife.The Coligny Beach Park is Hilton Head's main beach access and includes restrooms, children's splash fountain and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Free Parking is available in the designated lot across the street.
